Gitmo Detainees Provide No Good Intel - Bush (DODO*) Shredded Constitution For Bupkis

Terrorism & Security | csmonitor.com: "The Guardian reported Sunday that Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Christino, 'a senior Pentagon intelligence officer who worked at the heart of the US war on terror,' said that prisoner interrogations at Guantnamo Bay - the US military facility in Cuba which currently houses Taliban and Al Qaeda detainees - has not produced any intelligence that resulted in preventing 'a single terrorist attack.' Lt. Col. Christino also said that the reports of the value of these interrogations had been 'wildly exaggerated' by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. [--snip--]

Rose also alleges that Mjr. Gen. Miller, who is now in charge of the Abu Gharaib prison outside Baghdad, Iraq, "deliberately misled" the Red Cross about conditions and interrogation methods at the camp."

What profit a man, if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? The whole world. But for Gitmo?

UPDATE:
Financial Times via TalkLeft: The reason the US can't get decent intel from the Gitmo detainess is because the detainees didn't have any intel to give.

"Of the 550 that we have, I would say most of them, the majority of them, will either be released or transferred to their own countries," he told the FT.

"Most of these guys weren't fighting. They were running. Even if somebody has been found to be an enemy combatant, many of them will be released because they will be of low intelligence value and low threat status.

So most of the 550 were deprived of due process for serveral years for no good reason.

Feeling safer?
