Reminds us of the old story of Cardinal Bevilacqua who all but blamed gay priests for the scandal in 2002 (rather than the bishops who reassigned known child -molesters). Now why would he do that? Perhaps, because, as Wikipedia notes, Cardinal Bevilacqua has been accused of being one of the Red-hatted Racketeers who moved the molestors all over the country.
